Tennessee crash reports are managed by the Tennessee Department of Safety & Homeland Security and Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP). Reports are typically available online about seven business days after the crash.

    Use the official Tennessee crash report portal. The online fee is $10 by credit card; prepaid cards are not accepted.

  2. Request by mail

    Mail the request and $4 payment by cashier’s check, money order, or personal/business check to: Tennessee Department of Safety & Homeland Security, Financial Responsibility Division, PO Box 945, Nashville, TN 37202-0945.

  3. Visit a THP District Office

    Request a report in person at any THP District Office. Confirm current office hours and accepted payment methods before visiting.

  4. Free — $0

    Ask us to search — we charge nothing

    The state charges $10 online or $4 by mail. We charge $0. Provide the crash details in the request below and Dennis Injury Law searches the available official sources for you. What you need for an online request

Gather the last name, accident date, reporting agency, and driver’s license number. You also need one of the following: VIN, license plate, or case/tracking number.
