4 Ways to Get Your Alabama Crash Report — One Is Free
Alabama crash reports are issued by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). Reports are generally available online about 10 business days after the crash and cost $15 per report.
Purchase online
Visit ALEA’s official Driver License portal. Have identifying crash and driver information ready. The report fee is $15.
Request by mail
Complete ALEA’s Crash Report Request Form. Send it with a cashier’s check, certified check, or money order—no personal checks or cash—to: Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Crash Reports, P.O. Box 1471, Montgomery, AL 36102-1472.
Visit an ALEA office
Purchase a copy in person at any ALEA Driver License Office. Check office hours before traveling and bring the information needed to locate your report.
